Pola.B.Alex

I am an Edinburgh based artist from Iceland and I studied at the Edinburgh College of Art.

I have exhibited my paintings in the gallery “Smíðar og Skart” and Alþjóđahús in Reykjavik, Iceland; Marchmont Gallery and Edinburgh Gallery in Edinburgh. My paintings are held in private collections in Iceland, the UK, Denmark, Germany and the USA.

My preferred medium is oil.

The artworks I create are result of contemplation and careful study of nature. The process of painting to me is an attempt to capture the fleeting moments of harmony in the world around me.

I am often inspired by the classic music.

Cherry Blossom in Victoria Park, Edinburgh, Scotland

This amazing view doesn't exist any more as all the cherry trees were inevitably cut down. Sadly, these delicate trees have a relatively short life span and are sensitive to diseases that destroy them.
